Regina Nejman and Despina Sophia Stamos' Dance Performance at Gambit Gallery (July 19, 2025) Watching your duet, I was struck by how the vibrant, expressionistic movement and inventive use of bright yellow plastic created something truly transportive. The way you and your partner Despina engaged with the material felt almost painterly, evoking the golden light and emotional intensity of Van Gogh’s Arles. In your hands, the plastic became both petal and pulse—reminding me not just of Van Gogh’s sunflowers, but of how dance, like painting, can transform the everyday into something transcendent. -- Deirdre Donovan
